Liza Koshy is an actor and comedian after using social media to rise to success. A star as Violet Adams in the Hulu series Freakish, Koshy first rose to fame on Vine and YouTube with more than 14 million subscribers and 2 billion views. She has won two Streamy Awards, a Teen Choice Award, and a Kids’ Choice Award.
Koshy is also set to star in her own comedy series Liza on Demand and the Nickelodeon game show Double Dare which premiere later this year, while also co-hosting Total Request Live (TRL).
Recently, Koshy, who was born in Houston, Texas, broke up with fellow YouTube star David Dobrik. The two publicly announced their separation in an emotional YouTube video.
“It wasn’t healthy for us to continue to be together – for now,” David said in the video. “You never know what could happen, but just not now. Liza broke up with me because she felt like we’ve been distant because we’ve been so busy. As much as I hate to admit it, I was feeling it on my side too but I just don’t have the balls to pull the trigger on that.”
The 22-year-old added, “We felt like we were living separate lives but neither of us was coming to terms with it. So I decided we should break up. We didn’t want to tell anybody because we were just so angry at the fact we distanced in the first place. We did nothing to each other to cause a break up.
“We have a lot of growth and development and learning and loving to do.”
She has a reported net worth of approximately $1.5 million.
