In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last two weeks, Drake and Pusha T are in the midst of the best rap beef since Drake vs. Meek Mill, and for once, Drake is losing.
This (short) history of the beef is this: Pusha T dropped his newest album “DAYTONA” and tucked a Drake diss into one of the tracks. Obviously, Drake had some inside knowledge, as he was able to drop his own response, “Duppy Freestyle”, within hours of Pusha’s new album.
While it seemed (momentarily) that Drake had, yet again, come out on top, Pusha T then dropped “The Story Of Adidon”, which was essentially the scorched-earth policy turned into music.
Push took aim at Drake’s father, his mother, his best friend (Noah “40” Shebib who is suffering from MS), and claimed that Drake has a bastard son named Adonis with a pornstar named Sophie Brussaux. He also shared a picture of a young Drake wearing blackface. It was a visceral takedown and tipped the scales heavily in Pusha T’s favor.

Before releasing a response to Push on tape, Drake first addressed the controversy that flared up around the latter’s choice to release “The Story Of Adidon” with a picture of himself in blackface as the cover. “This picture is from 2007, a time in my life where I was an actor and I was working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast.”
Drake wrote in a statement shared on Instagram. “The photos represented how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment…This was to highlight and raise our frustrations with not always getting a fair chance in the industry and to make a point that the struggle for black actors has not changed much.”
And now, if Pusha T is to be believed, Drake is currently scouring the country, looking for any information about Pusha he can find. In fact, he’s offering $100,000 to anyone who gives him something he can use.
Whether this rumor is true or not, Drake needs to respond and he needs to respond quickly. It’s rare that we ever see Drake in a position of weakness, but at the moment, it looks like Pusha T and GOOD Music are going to have the last laugh.
