Emma Stone is an American actress who made her feature film debut in Superbad and hasn’t looked back since, becoming one of the most famous and in-demand actresses in the country. Since her debut in Superbad, Stone has gone on to star in Easy A, Zombieland, Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Birdman. In 2017, for her role as an aspiring actress in Damien Chazelle’s La La Land, Stone won an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Stone was born on November 6, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona, to Krista Jean Stone and Jeffrey Charles Stone. Stone began acting when she was four and made her acting debut at the age of 11 in the stage production of The Wind in the Willows.
She attended Xavier College Preparatory—, an all-girl Catholic high school, for her freshman year but dropped out after one semester to become an actress. In 2014, Stone was nominated for her first Academy Award as she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the role of a recovering drug addict in the black comedy-drama Birdman. In 2017, she won her first Academy Award, winning Best Lead Actress for her role in La La Land
In 2018, Stone will star in the Yorgos Lanthimos-helmed The Favourite opposite Rachel Weisz.
