The Jefferson County Courthouse is being evacuated due to a bomb threat that was received this morning. A 911 caller threatened to blow up the courthouse located in Beaumont, Texas. At this time, no one is hurt. Everyone at the courthouse reportedly told to evacuate and leave the area in their cars or on foot. The courthouse and surrounding area have been evacuated and the Bomb Detection K9 is en route to search the courthouse.

The bomb threat at the Jefferson County Courthouse is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States. Over the course of the past few years, shootings, lockdowns and bomb threats such as these have happened far too often, with the nation’s lawmakers struggling to come up with effective solutions.
