Becca Kufrin is returning to reality television and this time she is hoping things turn out better than her first go-around. After suffering heartbreak on season 22 of the ABC hit series The Bachelor, Kufrin was cast as the fourteenth lead on The Bachelorette. Now, it’s her turn in the driver’s seat.
But before we get to her next journey, it’s important to remember what got Kufrin to this point.
Kufrin was the initial winner of season 22 of The Bachelor and got engaged to two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Arie Luyendyk Jr. Then, things took a turn for the worst.
Before the show stopped airing, Luyendyk called off his engagement with Kufrin to start a relationship with runner-up Lauren Burnham. The break-up aired during the season’s live two-day finale, so the crowd got to see an unedited look at a first in Bachelor history.
Kufrin is hoping to find true love this time around after bouncing back from the brutal experience. After being nervous entering the season, it has been revealed that Kufrin is again engaged and believes she has truly found the one.
“I feel like I finally found my missing puzzle piece,” she said in an interview with PEOPLE. “I just can’t wipe the smile off my face. I wanted someone who is genuine, someone who can open up and be vulnerable and really show me who they are — and I found that.”
