Between wrapping up the final(?) season of top-rated CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory and her engagement and upcoming nuptials to boyfriend Karl Cook, there’s a lot going on for American actress Kaley Cuoco in 2018. The sweet-faced blond beauty has been a mainstay of American television for over a decade, with occasional forays into film and voice acting.

1995-2006
Cuoco began her acting and modeling career when she was just 6 years old, first appearing in Quicksand: No Escape (1992). Her first featured role was in the sci-fi thriller Virtuosity (1995) alongside Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe when she was just ten years old.

After that Cuoco largely moved her focus to the small screen, appearing in tv movies like Growing Up Brady and Alley Cats Strike (2000). In 2002 she got a regular role on 8 Simple Rules as the oldest daughter of the Hennessy family, Bridget. Before the sitcom was canceled for low ratings in 2005 Cuoco also entered the field of voice acting for animated series such as Disney’s Brandy and Mr Whiskers and Bratz.
2006-Present
Cuoco had another breakout role as young witch Billie in the final season of Charmed (1998-2006) followed by her being cast as Penny on the Big Bang Theory (2007-), now the role she is most recognized for. Penny plays the bubbly, social foil to the awkward nerds of the main cast, especially her neighbors Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki). Both Penny and Cuoco had an on-off relationship with Galecki and his character, though the actors amicably broke theirs off for good in 2010.
While Cuoco had other roles since joining Big Bang, primarily in television, advertisements, and films, the CBS sitcom has been the main focal point of her career thus far.
