Draymond Green is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors. Green is primarily a power forward, who was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team and won his first NBA Championship with the Warriors in 2015. Green was named an NBA All-Star and All-NBA Team member the following two seasons. In 2017, he won NBA Defensive Player of the Year and his second NBA Championship as a member of the Warriors.

Early Life
Green was born on March 4, 1990, in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Saginaw High School, where he played for coach Lou Dawkins. As a junior in 2006–07, he averaged 25 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals per game as he led Saginaw to the Class A State Championship and a 26–1 record. Before his senior season, in November 2007, Green committed to play college basketball at Michigan State.
2008-2012
Green played all four years at Michigan State. He would end his college career as one of three players in Michigan State history with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. In his senior year, he averaged 16.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. He entered the NBA draft in 2012 and was selected 35th overall by the Golden State Warriors.
2012-2015
Draymond has spent his entire six-season career with the Warriors. He had somewhat of a breakout season in his sophomore year, where he played all 82 games and began to establish himself as a defensive force in the league. The next year, 2014-15, Green played a pivotal role in the Warriors championship season and became a household name in the NBA. He was now a starter for the Warriors, finishing the season with 11.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He also finished as a runner-up in both the Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player awards.
2015-Present
In the 2015 off-season, Green signed a five-year deal worth $82 million with the Warriors. In his next three seasons, Green would win his second NBA championship, be named to three All-Star teams, and win 2017’s NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. In the summer of 2016, Green was named to the United States national squad and helped Team USA win the gold medal in Rio.
