Hilaria Thomas Baldwin is a fitness and wellness expert and the co-founder of Yoga Vida, a yoga studio in New York City. She’s the wife of actor and recurring SNL guest, Alec Baldwin.
Hilaria is also a lifestyle correspondent for EXTRA, where she covers fitness, fashion, celebrities, and news. Baldwin has been profiled by the New York Times, Elle, and Yoga Journal and been featured as a fitness authority on TODAY, Katie, LIVE with Kelly and Michael and The Rachael Ray Show. She released her first workout DVD, @ Home with Hilaria Baldwin: Fit Mommy-to-Be Prenatal Yoga in October 2013.
Hilaria was born on January 6, 1984, in Mallorca, Spain. She spent her childhood living in both the United States and Spain. As a child, she studied ballet, flamenco, and gymnastics and at the age of 13, she began international Latin ballroom dancing.
She graduated from NYU (like her husband) where she majored in art history and dance. After graduation, Hilaria opened up a yoga studio in NYC, Yoga Vida. She is both a co-owner and worked as an instructor for the popular studio that has four locations in the city.
Hilaria met Alec in 2011. The couple began dating that year and married in 2012. They have four children together, three boys and one daughter. Hilaria and Alec announced the birth of their fourth child and third son together on social media in May 2018, sharing an Instagram photo with their baby boy.
The new addition joins siblings Leonardo Ángel Charles, 20 months, Rafael Thomas, 2½, and Carmen Gabriela, 4½. Alec is also dad to 22-year-old daughter Ireland Baldwin, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
