Zelina Vega is the smokin’ hot manager of WWE SmackDown‘s newest superstar Andrade Cien Almas. But Vega is more than just a valet and eye-candy on the arm of Almas. She’s an eight-year veteran of the wrestling ring, beginning her pro career at the age of 17 in February 2010. At 27-years-old, Vega has arrived on the biggest pro wrestling platform in the world, the WWE, alongside a former NXT Champion.

Vega’s real name is Thea Megan Trinidad. Besides her work in the WWE, Ms. Trinidad is known for her work in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) as Rosita, where she captured the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship on one occasion with Sarita. Rosita and Sarita would later form a group known as “Mexican America,” alongside Anarquia and the leader Hernandez. Contrary to her character, Trinidad is of Puerto Rican heritage despite being portrayed as a Mexican-American while with the heel group.

Trinidad stayed with TNA from January 2011 to February 2013, but returned for a one-off appearance at Knockouts Knockouts 3 on February 14, 2015. At that event, she defeated six-time TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love.

WWE tested the waters with Ms. Trinidad for several years before they decided to sign her to a contract. She received her first tryout with the company on March 4, 2013. From 2014 to 2016, Trinidad appeared in brief roles within the company, acting as one of Adam Rose’s “rosebuds” and losing to “The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka on an October 2016 episode of NXT.

In June 2017, Trinidad was finally signed to a WWE contract. Upon her arrival to the developmental brand NXT, Trinidad was immediately paired with Andrade Cien Almas and given the ring name of Zelina Vega. Although, she slapped Almas during their first encounter, Vega would soon become Almas’ villainous business manager who helped him ascend to the top of NXT. At NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Vega was instrumental in Almas’ victory, assisting her man by performing a hurricanrana driver on then-NXT Champion Drew McIntyre. Almas walked away with the championship and the spotlight was cast on both Vega and Almas as the next potential breakout stars of WWE.

Vega was drafted to SmackDown Live as part of the 2018 WWE Superstar Shake-Up. She made her first appearance as part of the blue brand on the May 15th episode of SmackDown, accompanying her client Andrade Cien Almas at ringside during his match against a local competitor. Almas’ victory was very impressive, but Vega’s beauty is definitely something to write about (check out the gallery and you’ll see why).
