Sierra Wright is the reigning Miss Delaware USA 2018 and will be competing in the upcoming Miss USA pageant. The 20-year-old Wilmington native, who was Miss Delaware Teen USA 2015, succeeded 2017 winner Mia Jones. Wright will be looking to become only the second-ever Miss Delaware USA to reach the top ten, joining Renee Bull (2015).
Wright is a full-time student at West Chester University where she studies communications. She hopes to one day become a sports broadcaster at ESPN. Over the past two years, Wright has been working as a ballgirl for the MLB’s Philadelphia Phillies.
She describes herself as “driven, humble and hardworking.”
Wright hopes to use her platform as Miss Delaware USA, and potentially Miss USA, “to promote education in impoverished areas.”

Miss USA takes place Monday, May 21 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant will air live on FOX. The Miss Universe pageant will take place at a yet-to-be-determined date.
