Andrea Lee, who is known by her nickname “KGB,” is a highly-decorated mixed martial artist and muay thai practitioner who is one to watch in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. After getting off to an 8-2 start to her professional MMA career, the 29-year-old is finally ready for the big stage as one of the UFC’s newest additions to the flyweight division.

Lee was initially set to make her promotional debut at UFC 216 in October 2017, but that was delayed due to a clause in the UFC Anti-Doping Policy which requires fighters with previous drug violations to serve a six-month period in the testing pool before being able to compete. What triggered Lee’s six-month waiting period was a positive test for a banned diuretic following a loss to Sarah D’Alelio at Invicta FC 16 in March 2016. Lee has been on a four-fight winning streak since that setback.

Training out of Karate Mafia, Lee has claimed the Legacy FC Women’s Flyweight Championship and the LFA Women’s Flyweight Championship. She is also a two-time Louisiana State Golden Gloves Champion and has won multiple titles in Muay Thai and kickboxing.

Her striking credentials make her one of the most exciting rising stars in the UFC’s flyweight division.

Lee will be making her long-awaited UFC debut on Saturday, May 19 at UFC Fight Night 129 against Veronica Macedo in Santiago, Chile. The event will be aired live on FOX Sports 1, so “KGB” will be looking to make a splash in her first big stage performance. A welterweight battle between Demian Maia and Kamaru Usman will serve as the main event of the night.
