Police in Lawrence, Indiana are investigating what is believed to be a double shooting in the area. The two victims’ conditions were unknown during early reports of a story, although it is believed that they were taken to separate medical centers, with one transported to Eskenazi and the other transported to Riley. Information about the possible gunman was not revealed during early reports of the story.
What happened?
CBS 4, a local Indiana affiliate, explained the location in the following statement:
“Just after 2:00 p.m., authorities responded to the area of 49th and Katherine in Lawrence on the reports of shots fired.”
In an update, the report later claimed that the two victims appeared to be teenagers, as claimed by a neighbor who was interviewed at the scene.
At this time, information about the shooter does not appear to have been released to the public.
