Camila Oliveira first got her opportunity to join the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s roster of octagon girls in 2013 at UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Since then, she has continued to work events for the UFC at venues all across the world.
Oliveira used to date UFC fighter Erick Silva.
Outside of the cage, Oliveira prides herself in being active with the UFC’s social programs.
“This is the best thing I’ve done in the UFC. The social programs just make me see that there are still good people in the world. The UFC always tries to show us that. What struck me was the visit in APAE in Jaragua do Sul last year,” she said in an interview with The MMA Corner.
“I received a lot of affection, many letters, posters, kisses and even a trophy of them—it really moved me.”
Next up for Oliveira is UFC 224: Nunes vs. Pennington in Rio de Janeiro. The main event is a woman’s bantamweight championship bout between current titleholder Amanda Nunes and challenger Raquel Pennington. The main card will kickoff on pay-per-view with a matchup between two Brazilian mixed martial arts legends, Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida.
Ahead of UFC 224 on Saturday night, Oliveira will join Jhenny Andrade, Luciana Andrade, and UFC fighters Tecia Torres and Nina Ansaroff for autograph and photo opportunities in the UFC Fan Village outside of Jeunese Arena, the venue that will play host to the event. There will also be a Q&A hosted by Jessica Portasio with Ketlen Viera, Paulo Borrachinha, and Polyana Viana.
The first fight of the night kicks off at 7:15 p.m. local time.
