Sabrina Carpenter once appeared on a singing contest run by Miley Cyrus, “The Next Miley Cyrus Project,” finishing in third, but she has since made a name for herself as a singer, songwriter, and actress. After appearing as the younger version of Chloe Goodwin on “The Goodwin Game,” Carpenter starred as Maya Hart in “Girl Meets World” on the Disney Channel. She has also released two full-length albums, Eyes Wide Open and Evolution.
Carpenter is the niece of Nancy Cartwright, who is best known for her role as the voice of Bart Simpson. She also voices Todd Flanders, Nelson Muntz, Ralph Wiggum, and more.
The 19-year-old recently dropped an acoustic version of her song “Alien.”
Carpenter draws her inspiration from some icons in the music industry.
“My parents introduced me to a lot of the classics growing up. My dad introduced me to the Beatles and Rush (his favorite band) and my mum introduced me to Patsy Cline, Etta James, Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, and then I found Christina Aguilera and it was all over from there,” she said in an interview with MTV UK. “I fell in love with all sorts of music, every genre almost. It’s like picking your favorite ice cream or choosing your favorite sibling, it’s really hard.”
While the entertainer is still a rising star, she has already amassed an incredible following on social media. On Twitter, Carpenter has 1.25 million followers, more than 4.5 million on Facebook, and a whopping 14.3 million followers on Instagram.
