The Ultimate Fighting Championship is gearing up for an exciting pay-per-view on Aug. 4, with UFC 227: Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The main event features a bantamweight title fight between current champion TJ Dillashaw and his arch-rival Cody Garbrandt, the former 135-pound title holder. The two previously faced off at UFC 217 in New York City in November 2017 when Dillashaw scored an impressive knockout victory midway through the second round at Madison Square Garden.

This time around, the former Team Alpha Male teammates will do battle closer to Garbrandt’s home.

Dillashaw vs. Garbrandt 2 is joined by a middleweight contest between Derek Brunson and Antonio Carlos Junior as the only confirmed fights for the event at this time. However, there are rumors that two other high-profile matchups could soon be making their way to Los Angeles.

According to reports, the UFC is looking at the possibility of a lightweight matchup between former welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre vs. fan favorite Nate Diaz. Of course, there are many hurdles that remain before the bout becomes official.

Another bout that is believed to be targeted for the pay-per-view is a light heavyweight bout between former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold and former light heavyweight title contender Alexander Gustafsson. Both men have previously expressed interest in the bout, but ink has not been put to paper at this time.

Below is all of the information you will need to catch the event from the opening bout.
