The 2018 Preakness Stakes now takes center stage as the Triple Crown resumes following the conclusion of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 5. The Preakness, which takes place at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland serves as the second leg of the Triple Crown. The race is also known as “The Middle Jewel of the Triple Crown” or “The Run for the Black-Eyed Susans.”

2018 marks the 143rd running of the Preakness Stakes.
