Evans is a native of Boston, Massachusetts born on June 13, 1981. His family is filled with members of the arts. His mother is an artistic director at the Concord Youth Theater. Evans has two sisters Carly and Shanna. Carly received her degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She currently works as a drama, and English teacher at the high school Chris Evans graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School. His Brother Scott Evans is also an actor and appeared on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live.
After high school, Chris Evans moved to New York City in pursuit of his acting career at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
2000-2010
Evans career began its journey to stardom during these years. He landed one of the lead roles in the spoof comedy movie Not Another Teen Movie. After his breakthrough in Not Another Teen Movie, he secured lead roles in the movies The Perfect Score and Cellular.
In 2005, Evans entered into the superhero world. He landed the role as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four. This would be the beginnings of a very lucrative career in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Evans would play the character the Human Torch in two Fantastic Four films, Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007).
