Elisabeth Moss has been around for years now, appearing in The West Wing and Man Men (I recognize her as Jonah Hill’s girlfriend in the forever underrated Get Him To The Greek), but she really hit it big with her role as June Osborne in the Hulu smash hit The Handmaid’s Tale For her work as June Osborne, Moss won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Before The Handmaid’s Tale, Moss portrayed Peggy Olson, secretary-turned-copywriter, on the AMC series Mad Men (2007–2015), which earned her six Emmy Awards nominations and a Golden Globe nomination.
In addition to her wide-spread recognition for The West Wing, Mad Men, and The Handmaid’s Tale, Moss is also known for her work in the films Girl, Interrupted, Virgin, Listen Up Philip, The One I Love, Truth, Queen of Eart, and The Square.
In 2018, in addition to the second season of The Handmaid’s Tale, Moss will be starring in the films The Seagull and The Old Man and the Gun. In her personal life, Moss was previously married to SNL alum and Portlandia star Fred Armisen.
