There’s no need for an introduction for Scarlett Johansson, who is easily on the Mount Rushmore of smokeshows from the 21st Century. First bursting onto in 2003 with Lost in Translation, Johansson has been America’s sweetheart for 15 years now. And despite being in our lives for almost two decades, Johansson is still younger than 35-years-old, meaning she’s still got at least another decade of dominance in her. Starring in all those bazillion dollar Marvel Movies doesn’t hurt either, as Johannson became the highest-grossing actress of all time in North America in 2017.
After Lost in Translation (which is awesome, by the way, if you’ve never seen it), Johansson appeared in Love Song for Bobby Long (2004), Match Point (2005), The Prestige (2006) and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008). In 2010, Johansson debuted on Broadway in A View from the Bridge. For her work, she won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress. Also, she began portraying Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began to establish her as an action star. In 2013, she appeared in Her and Under the Skin, and in 2014, she starred in the science fiction action film Lucy.
Johansson was the highest-grossing actress of 2016, and as we pointed out earlier, became the highest-grossing actress of all time in North America in 2017.
