Alejandra Silva is the wife of Richard Gere, who is almost twice her age. According to Spain’s HELLO! magazine, the couple secretly got married at the beginning of April 2018. The Spanish tabloid reports that the couple will be holding a ceremony on May 6 in New York City to celebrate with friends and family. Silva, who began dating the Pretty Woman actor in 2014, is Gere’s third wife. At the time of their marriage, Silva was 35 and Gere was 68.
Previously, Gere was married to supermodel Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995 and model Carey Lowell from 2002 to 2016. Gere shares son with Lowell, 17-year-old Homer Gere. Alejandra was also previously married to Govind Friedland. The couple shares a five-year-old son named Albert.
Gere was one of the biggest actors in the world in the 80’s and 90’s, appearing in An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), The Cotton Club (1984), Pretty Woman (1990), Primal Fear (1996), and Runaway Bride (1999). While Gere’s career has tapered off in recent years, you can still find him in the occasional B-movie.
