Avicii Cause Of Death: How Did Tim Bergling Die?

Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, passed away in Muscat, Oman at the age of 28-years-old. According to a statement from his publicist Diana Baron: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”

Avicii was perhaps best known for his hit singles “Levels”, released in 2011, and “Wake Me Up” with Aloe Blacc, which was released in 2013. He released two studio albums — 2013’s “True” and 2015’s “Stories” — before announcing in 2016 that he would be retiring from touring.

At this time, the cause of death has not been disclosed and it has not been determined if foul play or drugs are suspected. His final Instagram post was on April 4, with a caption reading “It’s always sunny in California.”
