Cameron Miller, a 22-year-old Zeta Psi fraternity member at Penn State, has been charged with ten felonies after he was caught selling cocaine from inside the fraternity house. Miller was allegedly selling narcotics for at least two months.
According to State College police, Miller, of Fairport, New York, was contacted by a confidential informant on three separate occasions from January 23 to March 29 to discuss the sale and/or purchase of cocaine. On all three occasions, the informant entered the fraternity and returned with cocaine.
Miller was arrested and charged with seven felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver and three felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility. He was also charged with six misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was arraigned before District Judge Allen Sinclair, who set monetary bail at $100,000.
The suspected cocaine, digital scale, packaging material and money were found in a safe in Miller’s room. An officer said she believes Miller possessed the cocaine with the intent to deliver, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Zeta Psi, already on probation by their national branch for alcohol violations in January, was charged with furnishing alcohol to minors in February.
He was arraigned before District Judge Allen Sinclair, who set monetary bail at $100,000.
Miller is currently being held at Centre County Correctional Facility with a preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 18.
The arrest comes just days after Penn State’s IFC signed a letter to state legislators backing “Tim’s Law”.
