Nicolle Rochelle, often credited as Nicole Leach, is an American actress who was born in Livington, New Jersey. Rochelle attended Montclair High School before attending Brown University, where she studied linguistic anthropology.
On Monday, April 9, 2018, Rochelle was identified as the topless protester who charged at Bill Cosby as he was entering a Philadelphia courtroom for his retrial. According to reports, Rochelle leaped over a barricade and launched toward Cosby but was stopped by sheriff’s deputies. She was taken into custody in handcuffs.
Photos from the scene show that Rochelle had “Women’s Lives Matters” and the names of the alleged victims written in red ink on her chest, stomach and back. There is no word what Rochelle is being charged with at this time.
Opening arguments for Cosby’s retrial began on Monday, April 9. His first trial ended in Spring of 2017 after jurors were unable to reach a unanimous verdict despite having five days of deliberations. Cosby, the 80-year-old who was once considered “America’s Dad”, faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault. Each of those counts punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Cosby says that the sexual contact was consensual.
Rochelle’s IMDB page credits her with appearing alongside Bill Cosby in small roles on The Cosby Show between 1990 and 1992. Her IMDB page also says she has appeared Chappelle’s Show, Law & Order and NYPD Blue.
