Conor McGregor stole all of the headlines ahead of this weekend’s UFC 223: Khabib vs. Iaquinta pay-per-view at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. McGregor showed up at Barclays Center with dozens of his friends and wreaked havoc in the loading dock area. McGregor and company attacked a bus full of fighters leaving the arena, beating on the side and eventually launching a dolly through the window which injured multiple fighters.

A warrant was later issued for McGregor’s arrest before he turned himself in on Thursday night.

McGregor appeared before a judge on Friday and was arraigned on charges of felony criminal mischief charges and misdemeanor assault, menacing and reckless endangerment charges.

The brash Irishman is due back in court in June.

The UFC released a clearer version of what transpired during the attack in the latest episode of their “UFC Embedded” series which airs on YouTube.

McGregor was arrested and arraigned along with SBG Ireland teammate and fellow MMA fighter Cian Cowley.

As a result of McGregor’s actions, a total of three fights were pulled from the card.

Michael Chiesa vs. Anthony Pettis was scrapped because of cuts suffered by Chiesa when McGregor through a dolly through the bus window. Glass also got in the eye of Ray Borg, who was then forced out of his bout with Brandon Moreno. Artem Lobov, McGregor’s teammate, was pulled from the card for his involvement in the incident, canceling his scheduled bout with Alex Caceres.

It added to what was already a chaotic week for the UFC with two different main events getting scrapped. Khabib Nurmagomedov was initially set to face Tony Ferguson for the lightweight title, but Ferguson was injured in a freak accident. He was then scheduled to face featherweight champ Max Holloway, but the New York State Athletic Commission deemed Holloway medically unfit to compete. That led to Al Iaquinta, a New York native who is on a five-fight winning streak, earning the headlining opportunity. That, unfortunately, led to his original opponent, Paul Felder, getting pulled from the card.

The UFC 223 pay-per-view main card kicks off at 10:00 p.m. ET, while the preliminary bouts are scheduled to kickoff off 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
