UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor caused a stir following media day at UFC 223. The brash Irishman stormed towards a fighter bus that was leaving Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and began throwing objects at the moving vehicle. According to at least one report, one person on the bus was harmed.

Video of the incident surfaced on social media thanks to fellow UFC fighter Felice Herrig.

McGregor was in town to support his good friend and teammate Artem Lobov, who had a confrontation with UFC 223 main event participant Khabib Nurmagomedov at the fighter hotel earlier in the week.

It looks like the champ, who is set to lose his title after Saturday’s pay-per-view fight between Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway, is irritated with how things have developed over the week and he wants to make his presence felt.

Here is video of the altercation between Nurmagomedov and Lobov that is believed to have sparked the entire thing.

UFC 223 takes place Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In the main event, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway go head-to-head for the lightweight title. In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas and Joanna Jedrzejczyk face off for the women’s strawweight title.

Conor McGregor entered the UFC with a 13-2 record and debuted against Marcus Brimage at UFC on Fuel: Mousasi vs. Latifi. He secured a first-round TKO victory in just over a minute. McGregor then went on to defeat Diego Brandao, Dustin Poirier, Dennis Siver, Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo via (T)KO. He then suffered a submission loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 after moving up to the welterweight division, before redeeming himself with a majority decision win in one of the best fights in UFC history. In his most recent outing at UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in New York, he defeated Eddie Alvarez via TKO to claim the UFC lightweight championship in a Performance of the Night effort.
