Nicole Elizabeth Pillozi, better known by her “stage name” Snooki, is a reality TV personality, author, and dancer. Snooki is best known for being a cast member of the MTV reality show Jersey Shore and starring in Snooki & Jwoww. According to Nicole, she received her nickname, Snooki, in middle school, when her friends named her after “Snookie”, a male character in Save the Last Dance.
After the 2009 premiere of Jersey Shore, Snooki appeared on talk shows including The View, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Show with David Letterman, and The Wendy Williams Show. According to records, Snooki earned $150,000 per episode for the last two seasons of Jersey Shore.
Aside from TV, Snooki appeared as the guest hostess for WWE Raw in 2011 and competed at WrestleMania.
After Jersey Shore went off the air, Snooki announced that she got engaged to Jionni LaValle in March 2012, giving birth to the couple’s first child, Lorenzo Dominic LaValle, in August of 2012. The couple’s second child, Giovanna Marie LaValle, was born September 26, 2014. On November 29, 2014, Snooki married Jionni LaValle.
