Ilana Rose Glazer is an American comedian, writer, and actress. She is best known for co-creating and co-starring in the Comedy Central series Broad City with Abbi Jacobson.
Glazer grew up in St. James, New York, with her brother, Eliot, and was raised in a Reform Jewish household. She attended Smithtown High School in Smithtown, New York. After high school, she attended New York University in 2009, graduating with a degree in psychology. Following college, Glazer began taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and performed improv and stand-up around New York City for the next several years.
In 2009, Glazer and Abbi Jacobson Glazer began shooting and starring the web city Broad City, playing fictionalized versions of themselves.
Broad City made its television premiere in January 2014 on Comedy Central, receiving positive reviews and strong ratings. Following the success of Broad City, Glazer began to appear in feature films such as The Night Before and Rough Night.
The fourth season of Broad City aired in 2017 while a fifth season is currently scheduled, although the exact release date is unknown.
