The 2018 National Championship Game is set. March Madness has moved into April with two teams left: Villanova and Michigan. These two teams will duke it out for a national title at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. Tipoff is at 9:20 p.m. ET and will air on TBS.
The college basketball betting frenzy will come to its grand final tonight. Hopefully, after a wild (and unpredictable) March, you’re either even or have some money to work with tonight. Per Bovada, Villanova is a 7-point favorite, and the over-under is 145.

2018 National Championship Game: Preview And Predictions
This matchup pairs up two teams with completely different styles. Villanova loves to play fast, while Michigan tries to control the game at a much slower pace. Michigan has one of the best defenses in the country, and smothered Loyola-Chicago, holding them to just 57 points. It was the ramblers lowest output in the tournament. Michigan has only given up more than 65 points once in the tournament, and that was a game they won by 20 against Texas A&M.
On the other hand, Villanova sports the best offense in the country. Everyone on their team can shoot, and their relentless style has been shredding teams apart throughout the tourney – so far, their closest margin of victory has been 12 pts… It was more of the same in their Final Four matchup against Kansas. The Wildcats broke the record for most 3-pointers made in a Final Four game with 18. They tied the old record of 13 with 3 minutes remaining in the first half.
The two contrasting styles (and this erratic tournament in general) make this game a tough one to predict for both the spread and over-under. Both teams covered in their Final Four games, with Michigan’s final score finishing under the Vegas line, and Villanova’s over. Gun to my head and tears streaming down my face, I’d take Villanova with the spread and the over. They’ve been so dominant in every game that every team has had no choice but to adjust to their high motor style. I expect it to be relatively high scoring and for Villanova to slide away with a comfortable win by the end.
For shits and gigs, I’ll say: 80-69 Nova.
