Each year, WWE offers their audience another extravagant event, featuring the very best from the worlds of pro wrestling and pop culture. If a WrestleMania is booked properly, it’ll entertain the masses from the start of the card to the end of the event. And some endings are so shocking and well-received that they’re simply unforgettable.

10. The Rock Passes The Torch To John Cena At WrestleMania 29

After John Cena finally overcame “The Great One” at WrestleMania 29, The Rock responded by showing Cena a large measure of respect. As Cena stood at the entrance ramp as the new WWE Champion, The Rock approached him with a smile on his face. Cena and Rock saluted one another and celebrated together. These two mega-stars from different eras are finally at eye-level on the grandest stage of them all.


9. All Hail “Hit Man” – Bret Hart wins WWE Championship at WrestleMania X

Numerous WWE superstars held Bret “Hitman” Hart high up on their shoulders after he won the WWF (now WWE) Championship following his victory against Yokozuna. The Hitman reigned supreme that night in Madison Square Garden. Meanwhile, his brother Owen Hart watched on with an envious look on his face. Earlier in the night, Owen defeated his big brother Bret in the first match on the WrestleMania card. But Bret was the one to walk away with the top championship and all the glory at the end of the night.


8. Mike Tyson KO’s “HBK” Shawn Michaels – WrestleMania XIV

Shawn Michaels seemed super pissed at Mike Tyson at the end of WrestleMania XIV. Tyson had betrayed Michaels by making a quick three count, costing HBK the WWE Championship against Stone Cold Steve Austin. HBK took a swing at “The Baddest Man on the Planet” for double-crossing him, but ended up getting KO’ed for his troubles.

7. Stone Cold Steve Austin Joins Forces With Vince McMahon – WrestleMania X-Seven

Stone Cold had a heated rivalry with his boss Vince McMahon for the better part of the Attitude Era, which made it all the more shocking to see these bitter foes join forces. Near the conclusion of the No DQ main event between Stone Cold and The Rock at WrestleMania X-Seven, McMahon handed Austin a steel chair to use on Rocky. Austin beat the holy heck out of “The Great One” with that chair and then gave his boss a hearty handshake.


6. HBK’s Boyhood Dream Comes True – WrestleMania XII

After a long and grueling one-hour Iron Man match, “HBK” Shawn Michaels connected a Sweet Chin Music superkick on then WWE Champion Bret “Hitman” Hart for the win and the title. Michaels finally rose to the top of the sports entertainment industry with one resounding kick at WrestleMania XII.


5. “Deadman’s Exit” – The Undertaker Leaves His Hat And Coat Lying In The Ring At WrestleMania 33

Following his loss to “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns, The Undertaker made his exit while also leaving his hat and coat lying in the ring. Many fans speculated that this move symbolized ‘Taker’s retirement.


4. “Down Goes The Giant” – Hulk Hogan Body-Slams Andre The Giant And Wins At WrestleMania III

Andre The Giant had been advertised as the “immovable object” while Hulk Hogan was cast as the “irresistible force.” They both collided at WrestleMania III, and Hogan ended up on top. Hogan shocked thousands of fans at the Pontiac Superdome when he scooped up Andre and slammed him down to the mat. Hulkamania was in full force on this night in Michigan.


3. “End Of Mr. WrestleMania” – The Undertaker Finishes Off Shawn Michaels’ Career At WrestleMania XVI

“HBK” Shawn Michaels was defiant to the very end; slapping “The Deadman” in the face before he was sent crashing down to the mat via a Tombstone piledriver. The legendary career of Shawn Michaels was finally laid to rest by The Undertaker under the bright lights at the University of Phoenix Stadium.


2. “Rollin Cashes In” During The Main Event Of WrestleMania 31

While both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were laid out in the center of the ring, Seth Rollins raced down the entrance ramp to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase and inject himself into the match. Rollins ended up winning the match and WWE Championship after pinning his former Shield brethren Roman Reigns. The crowd went absolutely nuts in Levi’s Stadium.

1. “Miracle On Bourbon Street” – Daniel Bryan Wins The WWE World Heavyweight Championship At WrestleMania XXX

Daniel Bryan overcame all the odds to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania XXX. He defeated Triple H earlier in the night to qualify for a triple threat main event featuring Batista and then WWE Champion Randy Orton. Bryan bested any man that stood in his way that night. He won the championship by making his much-larger opponent Batista tap out to the YES Lock. Bryan then celebrated with both world titles high overhead as fans went wild inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
