Caroline Sunshine, a former Disney channel actress who worked with Zendaya, has joined the White House team as a press assistant after her internship. Sunshine, just 22-years-old, became famous for her role as Tinka Hessenheffer in Shake It Up. Shake It Up was a Disney Channel show about teen dancers that ran from 2010 to 2013. Zendaya also appeared in the show Shake It Up. Sunshine also appeared in the 2010 film Marmaduke and the 2015 film The Outfield.
Sunshine was an intern at the White House before receiving a full-time job. offer White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters released a statement to CNN about Sunshine:
“Caroline Sunshine was a White House intern. In college, she was involved with the American Enterprise Institute and an active member of her school’s Model United Nations team. Prior to her internship at the White House, Caroline interned for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party.”
Sunshine was born on September 5, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents Tom and Karen Sunshine. She was then raised in Orange County, California, with her two younger brothers, John and Christopher. She currently has more than 500,000 followers on Twitter and 235,000 followers on Instagram.
