Standup comedian and host of his own show, Tosh.O, on Comedy Central, Daniel Tosh has become a household name in comedy. His non-politically correct humor has drawn some criticism but also earned him a huge fanbase. He says that he’s not a racist or misogynist but simply finds those jokes funny. Either way, his humor has served him very well and garnered a nice amount of wealth. Let’s take a look at Daniel’s career, beginning with his net worth.

Daniel Tosh Net Worth As Of 2018: $16 Million

By 2018, Tosh has earned him a sizable amount of wealth, somewhere in the area of $16 million. Between his show and stand up tours, Tosh has a few different ways of obtaining money. Let’s take a look at his career and see how he came to acquire that money.

The Early Years

Tosh was born on May 29th, 1975, in Germany, but grew up in Titusville, Florida, the son of a Presbyterian minister. He graduated from high school in 1993 and went on to attend the University of Central Florida, graduating in 1996 with a degree in marketing. One of his first jobs was a telemarketer, but eventually left that career behind and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy.

Following his graduation, Tosh began performing in comedy clubs everywhere, honing his skills. In 1998, he appeared as one of the “new faces” at the 1998 ‘Just For Laughs’ comedy festival in Montreal. His first act was televised in 2000, and he began to earn a following.

In 2001, Tosh got his big break when he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman. He also appeared on Tonight Show With Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live! These appearances cemented his status as an up and coming comedian.

He became a regular on different radio shows, including The Bob & Tom Show and Loveline. Comedy Central also aired a stand-up special of his, Daniel Tosh: Completely Serious. He also appeared on MTV’s Punkd and the Mike Myers movie The Love Guru.

In 2009, Comedy Central decided to give Tosh his own TV show, the appropriately named Tosh.O. On the show, he showcases a variety of internet clips and offers commentary on them. The show was a smash hit and has gone for nine seasons, with a tenth set to premiere in 2018.

In addition to Tosh.O, Comedy Central aired another one of his comedy specials, Daniel Tosh: Happy Thoughts. He also produced and starred on the show Brickleberry, where he voiced the character of Molloy. That show was canceled after three seasons.

His “rude” humor has served him well, and his wealth is proof positive of this fact.
