New York authorities are investigating the death of a Binghamton University nursing student. Police say that 22-year-old Haley Anderson of Westbury, Long Island was found dead at an off-campus house on Friday. Her death was later ruled a homicide, and the cause of death has yet to be released.

Who’s the suspect?
A male nursing student, who had previously had a relationship with Haley, is a person of interest. Police say the man left the country on an international flight before the victim’s body was found. Authorities have not said what country it is, but their search for the man now spans two countries.
Reaction from friends and family
Her traumatic death has upset many on the New York college campus and her hometown of Westbury. The university’s Facebook page offered condolences to the victim’s family and friends. It said counseling would be available and there was no threat to public safety.
Haley was expected to graduate this upcoming May. Many of her friends posted tributes to her on Facebook, remembering her as happy and carefree and bringing light into any room she entered.
