6 have been injured after a car slammed into Barclay Elementary School. The crash happened around 10:40 a.m. EST on the 2900 block of Barclay Street in Baltimore.
Blair Skinner, a spokeswoman for the local fire department, said that the unidentified driver was “suffering a medical emergency” when they hit the school.
According to reports, five children and one adult sustained non-life-threatening injuries. None of the injured had to be transported to a hospital. While Skinner initially said six students were injured, she later amended that number to three students.
The vehicle, a Jeep Liverty, struck the building at a corner classroom, breaking through the brick beneath windows.
