Kathryn A. Mahoney, a 19-year-old college student at Connecticut’s Fairfield University, was arrested on Thursday, March 1, for assaulting her boyfriend. Mahoney allegedly punched her boyfriend in the face after he suggested that the two break up.
According to reports, Mahoney struck the unidentified victim in the stomach and before punching him in the face with a closed fist. Furthermore, the victim said he grabbed her (Mahoney) by the shoulders to get her to stop and then ran to a friend’s dorm room for help.
Following the attack, the victim reportedly took himself to St. Vincent hospital for a swollen and bloody nose.
Mahoney, a student at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. She was held on a $1,500 bond and was scheduled to be arraigned in state Superior Court in Bridgeport March 2.
