According to reports, Kayce Smith, an NBC Sports reporter based in Boston, is headed to Barstool Sports. This is the second female on-talent camera Barstool Sports has poached away from a major network as they signed former ESPN and MLS sideline reporter.
Before joining Barstool, Smith was a part of NBC Sports Boston and appeared on the network’s show “Boston Sports Tonight”.
Smith attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a major in Communication and a minor in Journalism before working as a freelance reporter for ESPN in 2014.

WEEI.com reached out to Smith and NBC Sports Boston for confirmation and did not immediately hear back.
Smith, who co-hosts “Boston Sports Tonight,” was hired last spring for the show’s launch. Prior to her arrival in Boston, Smith worked for the SEC Network and Fox Sports South. She graduated from Texas A&M University.
Barstool Sports, which recently received an additional $15 million from its majority owner, the Chernin Group, launched its own radio channel on SiriusXM earlier this year. Barstool also partnered with ESPN for a weekly late-night talk show last year, but ESPN ended the agreement after just one episode.
