Bowman is a native of Tucson, Arizona. Like a lot of professionals, he started his career at a young age, racing on short tracks in Arizona and California at the age of 7, driving quarter midget cars with the United States Auto Club. Within 6 years, he had 165 feature wins, as well as nine national championship wins. In 2008, he won the USAC National Focus Midget championship with 11 wins and the California Dirt Focus Midget championship. The following year, he was named the USAC National Midget Rookie of the Year.
2010-2012
At the tender age 0f 17, Bowman moved on to full-bodied stock car racing. The following year, he went on to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East with X Team Racing, ultimately earning Rookie of the Year. Around the same time, he also competed in two ARCA Racing Series events, winning both events. 2013-Present
In early 2013, Bowman won his first career Nationwide pole at the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 in Texas, also winning another season. He returned to the Nationwide Series the following year; the same year also saw him in the 2014 NASCAR season, replacing Travis Kvapil. In 2015, he drove for the full 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season with Tommy Baldwin Racing. Although he missed the 2016 season because of concussion issues, n 2017, he drove for the 2017 Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona. In 2018, he had good luck early in the year by winning the pole for the season-opening Daytona 500.
