Tiffany Haddish, 38, is an American comedian and actress who rose to prominence in 2017 for her breakthrough roll in Girls Trip.
After guest starring on several television series, Haddish first started to receive recognition as Jackie on the first season of the OWN drama If Loving You Is Wrong from 2014 to 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Haddish guest starred as Nekeisha Williams on the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show. In 2016, Haddish appeared in the Key and Peele starring comedy film Keanu. Then in 2017, Haddish made her film breakthrough as Dina in the 2017 film Girls Trip, receiving critical acclaim.
Later in 2017, Haddish hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time, becoming the first black female stand-up comedian to host the legendary sketch comedy show.
Haddish is set to co-star alongside Tracy Morgan in an upcoming TBS sitcom, The Last O.G., which will be Haddish’s her first lead in a sitcom.
In 2018, Haddish will star in the 2018 comedy film Night School with Kevin Hart. She also signed a lucrative first-look deal with HBO.
At 38-years-old, Haddish’s breakout is certainly a late one, but definitely a deserved one. With genuine charm and energy, Haddish seems as though she’ll be more than a one-hit wonder.
