A 16-year-old boy, later identified as Anthony Weber, was shot to death in one of two deputy-involved shootings in less than four hours for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
As confirmed by the coroner’s office, Weber died at the scene of the first shooting, which occurred at 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of West 107th Street in unincorporated Westmont abutting South Los Angeles.
According to the Pasadena Star-News, the sheriff’s department released the following statement:
“The subject was struck several times in the upper body by gunfire and collapsed at the location.”
