Justin Timberlake performed during the Super Bowl 52 on Sunday and had the crowds go absolutely nuts. Timberlake is no stranger to taking the stage for the unique halftime event. He also performed with Janet Jackson in 2004 when he mistakenly ripped off a piece of Jackson’s costume. Timberlake came out on the stage and took the crowds into a frenzy. His fantastic energy coupled with his energetic music had crowds rocking their bodies along with him.
Despite the Super Bowl apparently revolving around football, others are watching for a different reason: the halftime show. JT delivered precisely what fans have been eagerly anticipating since the announcement of JT performing during halftime of the Super Bowl 52.
The scruffy, Timberlake brought sexy back donning a leather jacket and a red bandana upon starting his performance. He made his way through crowds singing a mash-up of his songs. Once on stage, a wardrobe change occurred swiftly by him removing the leather jacket while he continued to perform many fan favorites. The choreography during “Cry Me A River,” “Rock Your Body” and “Can’t Stop The Feeling” was outstanding.
Timberlake threw on a suit jacket and performed “Suit & Tie.” He broke into one of his soft ballads and mesmerized the audience. Suddenly, a hologram of Prince performing “I Will Die For You” appeared and Timberlake sang along with the hologram in tribute to Prince and his birthplace as Minneapolis, Minnesota is the place where Prince was born.
Timberlake then went onto sing “Mirrors” with people strategically in vibrant colored clothing, holding mirrors around Timberlake on stage.
In closing of the halftime performance, Timberlake made his way dancing through the field and up the bleachers singing “Can’t Stop The Feeling.”
