The Kentucky school shooting was at least the 11th school shooting incident of the year so far. Two students were killed Tuesday and 18 other people were wounded when a 15-year-old boy armed with a handgun opened fire inside a Kentucky high school. Little is known about the motives of the Marshall County shooter, who was arrested after the violence. His name has not been released as well.
Nearly 18 of the wounded were injured by gunfire and a few were hurt while trying to escape, state police said Tuesday night. Three of the victims were listed in critical condition Tuesday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The two deaths that struck the school were two young teens. Bailey Nicole Holt, 15, who died at the scene, and Preston Ryan Cope, 15, who died later at a trauma center.

Holt was remembered as ‘Always So Happy’. “Bailey holt was always so happy and a great friend we will love you and can’t believe you were taking away from us so soon. But God has definitely gained a beautiful angel.

Another friend on Facebook posted how much she loved Bailey and how things won’t be the same without her. dd
Preston Cope, 15
Cope, a 15-year-old boy is remembered for his positive outlook on life and love of baseball. One friend wrote a tribute to Cope on Facebook.
Both Cope and Holt are remembered to be positive and uplifting people.
Another friend wrote on Snapchat, “You will be missed buddy, you were always inspiring in weightlifting class always pushing your limits… Preston, you were definitely the best friend I’ve ever had you never ever had anything negative to say you were so beyond positive about everything and I’m going to miss you, man.”
What About The Gunman And Other Victims?
The name of the gunman has not been released by authorities, but we will keep you updated as more details come to light. As for the other victims, there have not been any updates as of yet. A few were in critical and others luckily survived, but no word on their injuries.
At least one of the injured victims hopped onto Snapchat to remind others that the boy who shot everyone was hurting inside too, even though she had a bullet in her chest.
