Are you having issues connecting to your Slack account? Many people on Twitter are voicing their frustrations with not being able to access their Slack. On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, a majority of people who use Slack suffered outages with the product. The official Slack twitter page sent out a Tweet to address concerns over their website being currently inaccessible for many users. The Slack twitter page wrote, “If you’re having issues connecting to Slack: we’re working on getting things back to normal with top priority. Thanks kindly for your patience.”
According to DownDetector.com, problems with Slack has spiked within the hour, many are currently commenting on that page’s message board. Also according to Slack’s System Status website, “a majority of customers are unable to connect to slack. The website said that they’re “aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible.”
According to DownDector.com’s Slack’s outage map, most of the people affected live on the northeast coast and southwest coast of the United States.
Update (01/09/18; 2:28 P.M. CST): Slack’s official Twitter page announced that they have resolved the issue for many of their subscribers. The twitter page sent out a message, saying, “Many folks should be able to reconnect again. If you’re still having trouble, hang tight — we’re focused on getting you back online as soon as possible. Thank you.”
The Slack Twitter page sent out personalized responses to users who are happy to have their Slack up and running again. Twitter user, Kayla Brewer wrote, “We’re back up and running! Thanks for being awesome!” @SlackHQ responded by writing, “We’re extremely sorry for the disruption to your workday, but so glad to hear you’re back online, Kayla.”

Many people are sounding off on Twitter, venting their frustrations with the Slack outages. One Twitter user asked, “How am I supposed to tell my team that @SlackHQ is down, when #slack is down??”
Some are taking to dark humor to show how they feel about Slack being down.
