Liverpool vs. Everton: Time, TV Channel & Stream Information

Liverpool vs. Everton used to be one of the top rivalries in all of England back in the 90’s. Since then both teams have performed well but nothing close to the championship aspirations they have every year. These teams met just 3 weeks ago in a crazy, snowy, wild 1-1 draw. I expect this game to be even better, both teams will come out with different philosophies because this is not a Premier League game it is an FA Cup game. Everton’s boss Sam Allardyce was even quoted saying “It’s a Cup game, it’s different to the Premier League, there’s less pressure. It’s a glory game and you go out and seek the glory and try to win it.”

Everton is led by former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, Rooney has enjoyed a great season with Everton including scoring the game-tying goal in the previous game vs. Liverpool. Everton will look to put the pressure on Liverpool with aggressive play. In their last contest, Everton sat back in a very defensive scheme and that just won’t be the case this time. They will be without star defender Michael Keane who just had stitches on the crown of his foot after Mondays 2-0 victory against Man U. Keane’s loss will be significant and it will be up to the other Everton defenders to make up for his absence.

Liverpool made a huge splash recently by acquiring Virgil van Dijk from South Hampton. In fact, they made him the most expensive defender in the world paying an unreal 70.92 million Euros in transfer fees! Van Dijk is hopeful to make his club debut against Everton, that’s not good for the Blues. With the addition of Van Dijk, it will allow Liverpool to put more pressure on the offensive side of the pitch and really cause some havoc for Everton. Both teams are going to be running and gunning and I personally cannot wait!!!
