CES 2018 Trends to Watch

Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality

Over the past two years, CES has been the place where companies and developers have come to show off the newest gadgets in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). The trend has been struggling to find mainstream success, but after hits like the PlayStation VR and the success of Pokemon GO, we’re sure we’ll be seeing much more from these new realities at this year’s CES especially from companies like Google and Apple!

4K Television Revolution

CES has always been THE place for unveilings of ultra-thin, 4K resolution televisions. As consumers continue to demand more and more visually appealing screens, tech giants (like Samsung, Panasonic, and Sony) will be showing off their latest models of their flagship 4K televisions and we can be sure that they’ll burn our retinas in crystal clear picture! Like previous years, we can expect to see mind-bending Television screens that are smaller than a card in your wallet and even cooler functionality like full HDR support!

PC Gaming Uprising

After the explosive year that was PC Gaming in 2017, tech giants will be sure to have a strong showing for PC Gaming peripherals. Expect everything from mice and keyboards to video cards and brand new processors to hit the show floor. Also, NVIDIA will be hosting a press conference on Sunday, January 7th so expect a whole load of news coming from there!

Wearable Takeover

Last year at CES 2017, the wearable section of the show floor was on fire with over 80 exhibitors showing off their latest products in the “wearable” brand. Since the brand reaches to many different types of wearable technology, expect the show floor to be alive with “smart-glasses,” “smart-watches” and even “smart-underwear”!
