University of Arkansas quarterback Cole Kelley was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, careless driving and other offenses in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

According to the report filed by the Fayetteville Police Department, Kelly, the 20-year-old redshirt freshman, was booked at 8:47 AM after being arrested. Kelly’s bond was set at $935 and he was released from the Washington County Jail at 11:46 AM.

Police reports indicate that Kelley was pulled over around 4 AM after an officer witnessed Kelley driving with his tires on the curb. Kelley was arrested after he refused to take a breathalyzer test. His eyes were allegedly “red and watery”.

“We are gathering all information from the proper authorities and will make a determination upon review of that information,” Bielema said in a statement.

CBS Sports writes that Kelley played in Arkansas’ 33-10 loss at LSU on Saturday, completing 3 of 10 passes for 33 yards with an interception. He’s appeared in nine games this year and has taken over as the team’s starter after leading the team to wins against Ole Miss and Coastal Carolina.

As a result, Kelley has been indefinitely suspended from the team.

“He’s indefinitely suspended from our program,” Bielema said. “This week, he’ll not be with us and will not play on Saturday. It’s a learning lesson that I hope he takes full advantage of.”

Kelley was the 16th overall recruit by ESPN in the 2016 recruiting class.
