Stanford vs. TCU Live Stream: How to Watch Alamo Bowl Online

In the second week of bowl games, there is a game between two ranked opponents. These teams are the Stanford Cardinal and the TCU Horned Frogs. Both teams had above average expectations this season but managed to exceed those expectations by winning at least nine games and by qualifying for a respectable bowl game. However, both teams will want to add a bowl victory to successfully culminate their seasons.

Stanford’s success is due to star running back Bryce Love. So far this season, Love already has over 1,900 yards rushing along with 17 rushing touchdowns. Love also averaged a whopping 7.3 yards per carry and looked like one of the best running backs in all of college football. However, Stanford’s offense was truly unable to take that next step until K.J. Costello became the starting quarterback in November. This season, Costello threw for 11 touchdowns along with over 1,300 passing yards with only two interceptions. Expect Love to get the ball early and often as Stanford will try to make third downs more manageable for its sophomore quarterback.

TCU’s success is due to quarterback Kenny Hill. So far this season, Hill has 21 passing touchdowns with only six interceptions. Hill has been extremely accurate in the pocket this season and has a completion percentage of 67.2 to prove it. Last season, Hill threw 13 interceptions and was pretty poor in the realm of ball security. However, those issues look to be behind Hill and TCU finished the regular season in the top 15 as a result. Hill’s job has been made easier by running backs Kyle Hicks and Sewo Olonilua. Both backs have scored at least four rushing touchdowns while averaging at least 4.5 yards per carry this season. Expect both backs to play vital roles in the red zone as TCU will need them to finish off touchdown drives.

As for my prediction, I have to side with Stanford. I believe that Stanford has more talented players than TCU and also has a huge coaching advantage. Stanford’s coach David Shaw is one of the best coaches in all of college football and has won his last three bowl games with this university. I expect him to organize a phenomenal gameplan and I also expect Love to have another big game as Stanford wins by a touchdown or so.
