Clemson is the defending national champions and are looking to repeat as the #1 seed going into the college football playoff. Clemson is lead by head coach Dabo Sweeny who has collectedly altered the culture of Clemson Football. Dabo who has one of the most terrifying defenses in the counter has done a great job allowing QB Kelly Bryant to get adjusted to the starting QB role after taking over for standout Desean Watson. The mobile Bryant makes as many plays with legs as he does his arm. If Bryant can take care of the football and make smart decisions Clemson will have a very good shot at defeating Saban and the Crimson Tide for the 2nd straight year.
The Alabama Crimson Tide made were the 4th and final playoff spot getting in controversially over Ohio St and USC. Saban was a huge advocate for the Tide of course and must’ve been pleased where his constant public appeals to the committee were rewarded. Jalen Hurts is coming out on a mission this year trying to prove he’s a game-changing playmaker that should be considered amount the countries elite, like Bryant he is also a dual-threat QB. It’s going to be interesting to see how Clemson goes about stopping Hurts from hurting them. Minka Fitzpatrick will do everything in his power to slow down Bryant and the rest of the Tigers.
