At the age of 15 Kristaps signed with Baloncesto Sevilla, a team that has played in the top tier of Spanish basketball since 1989. Kristaps had his debut for Sevilla early in 2012, he would play for Baloncesto Sevilla for three full seasons until finally deciding to declare for the 2015 NBA draft.
