Here we go, people, it’s happening. It’s really happening.
A year ago, The Rock would laugh it off. Six months ago, he’d give a non-answer like “if that’s what the people want”. But now? Now, he’s seriously considering it. And just like Inception, once the idea has been planted, the only thing left is for it to grow into reality. That’s what’s happening with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson right now — we’re watching, in real time, The Rock come to terms with the fact that he’s probably going to run for the Presidency of the United States. We’re watching an idea become reality.
Just IMAGINE trying Donald Trump trying to out-talk the Rock? The Rock became famous because of his mic skills in the WWE. Just IMAGINE Donald Trump trying to insult the Rock? How would anyone take him seriously? The Rock is the human embodiment of charm and charisma and everyone knows it.
Long story short, if I’m DT, the last person I want to see across the proverbial aisle is The Rock.
