Casey Jordan-Marquez: Full Story & Must-See Details of Aztec High School Shooting Victim

Casey Jordan-Marquez, 17, has been identified as one of the two students killed in the Aztec High School shooting.

According to San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, the victims were identified as Casey Jordan-Marquez and Francisco “Paco” Fernandez.

More than $6,000 have been donated to the family of Casey Jordan-Marquez, who was a cheerleader at Aztec High School through YouCaring and GoFundMe.  A GoFundMe account was also created for the family of Fernandez.

There is no clear motive for the death of either victim.

According to KRQE, the Farmington Police Department Victim Services, New Mexico State Crime Victims Reparation Commission, 11th Judicial District District Attorney’s Office, New Mexico State Police, and New Mexico Attorney General’s Office advocates are coordinating to assist families who have children and/or staff of Aztec High School during today’s tragedy.

Authorities have yet to provide details about what led to the shooting or who was responsible. The shooter shot and killed himself. Aztec, New Mexico schools were closed on Friday, December 8. Aztec is a rural community of approximately 6,500 people.

New Mexico State Police at this time are asking any witnesses of the shooting to call the following hotline: 505-334-6622 or send a message to the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

Police have not disclosed the shooter’s identity, however, they have confirmed that hes a man. Authorities also would not confirm whether or not the shooter was a student or if there was a motive.
