Genie Bouchard Is Still Dating That Random Dude Who Asked Her Out On Twitter

Back in February, we brought you the story of Mizzou student John Goehrke, who became the human embodiment of “shooting your shot” after he scored a date with Genie Bouchard over Twitter.

The legendary courtship goes as follows:

And that’s it, really: quick, simple, and to the point. As we all now know, the Patriots would go on to complete one of the greatest Super Bowl comebacks of all time (that I’m still not over, honestly) and John would land his date with Genie to a Nets game.

After the date, Genie said our John had scored himself a second date, but then the world moved on and the story’s virality wore off.

Well, folks, but I’m happy to tell you that the #SuperBowlTwitterDate story is back in a BIG way, because Genie came out of clouds with some CLASSIC “we’re totally hooking up” photos of the two.

Using the move we’ve all used to piss off ex-hookups (girlfriends, etc), Genie put up a couple pictures of her and John on Twitter. And not just any pictures of them all dolled up at some public event, no no no no no, we’re talking about the real shit: posted up on a couch, wearing sweatpants, watching movies.

This guy is nothing short of a dude legend: one second he’s shooting a shot into the Twitter abyss, next thing you know he’s smashing a world famous tennis player for 6 months. You could base a religion around this feat.
